How Computer Imaging Works
If you are considering a facial cosmetic surgery procedure, during your consultation Dr. Buonassisi will have several photographs of your face taken with a digital camera. These photos are uploaded and displayed on a computer screen, where Dr. Buonassisi can use specially-designed software to demonstrate how various changes will affect your overall facial shape and balance. Computer imaging is especially helpful for individuals who are considering multiple facial surgeries, such as a patient who wants to have nose surgery and chin augmentation or both a brow lift and eyelid surgery.
Keep in mind that computer imaging will not show exactly what will be achieved after surgery, given that there are many variables that can affect your final results. However, computer imaging is an excellent tool for discussing options and giving an approximation of what type of outcome you can expect.
